Two-Hose Systems
Dry ice blasting with a twin-hose system uses kinetic energy to generate compressed air, similar to conventional sand blasting. The two separate hoses ensure that the dry ice pellets and the compressed air are delivered separately to the blast gun.
The two-hose system works on the Venturi principle, which means that a gentle vacuum sucks in the dry ice particles and transports them to the gun. There the dry ice is added to the air stream and exits the gun at the speed of sound through the venturi nozzle onto the surface to be cleaned.
