Silicon Carbide
A sharp-edged grit for almost any blasting job!
The sharp-edged grit is suitable for the highest demands and almost all blasting applications. Made from a chemical compound of silicon and carbon, it has a high thermal conductivity.
Silicon is highly abrasive and due to its fracture behaviour is excellent for high cutting capacity and is often used in grinding applications.
Silicon carbide is non-toxic and therefore harmless to health and is non-carcinogenic.
This extremely hard abrasive is particularly suitable for processing extremely hard materials for injector and air blast systems.

- Cleaning of metal surfaces, especially hardened steel
- Roughening
- Removal of rust and scale from metal surfaces
