Garnet Sand
A natural iron-free mineral for economical use!
A reusable, iron-free mineral abrasive containing garnet as its main constituent, the angular grain shape is produced by mechanical crushing of the heavy mineral rock.
Its abrasive properties make it ideal for use in the aluminium, glass and stainless steel industries, but the natural abrasive has also proven itself in high pressure water blasting.
As a very cost effective abrasive it is ideal for outdoor use, especially for cleaning monuments, facades and natural stone.
Application
Blast cleaning:
- Natural stone restoration, monument and facade cleaning
- Removal of coatings, stubborn dirt and rust
- Cleaning of pipes, boilers, tanks, etc.
- Scale removal from metal surfaces
- Cutting agents for high pressure water jet cutting
- Cleaning of non-ferrous surfaces (e.g. aluminium)
- Roughening of metal surfaces
