Other Abrasives

Stainless Steel

A tough and durable abrasive for an extra long service life!

Stainless steel abrasives are manufactured from cast stainless steel and are available in round or square shapes.
Due to its face-centred cubic microstructure, this tough abrasive has a particularly long service life in use. In addition, no dust is generated during use.

Round stainless steel abrasives are suitable for all blasting applications on metals, galvanised materials and concrete.

Edged stainless steel is used in case rough surfaces and aggressive blasting characteristics are required.

Application:

  • Blast cleaning and deburring of all non-ferrous metals
  • Fine and texture blasting of natural stone and concrete
  • Preparation of coating
  • Water jet cutting
  • Surface finishing
  • Visual finishing

Suited blasting systems:

  • Air Blast Systems
  • Blast wheel systems

Cast Steel

Spherical abrasives for use on blast wheel systems!

The spherical abrasive belongs to the group of cast metallic abrasives and consists of a fine-grained, martensitic and bainitic basic structure. The material with its metallurgical properties has a high carbon content which is extensively annealed after granulation.

With its round grain size (stell shot), cast steel abrasive produces a hammerblow surface during blasting and is mainly used in wheel blast systems.

Wire Grit

For consistently reproducible blast results!

Wire grit abrasives are made from cold-rolled high carbon steel strip and are manufactured from special wire. Wire abrasives are cylindrical in their initial state, and the round shape is achieved by mechanical rounding.

Wire grit is particularly suitable for blasting hard materials and gives very uniform and reproducible blasting results.

Application:

  • Shot blasting for solidification
  • Surface finishing
  • Blast cleaning
  • Shot Peening

Suitable blasting systems:

  • Air Blast Systems
  • Blast wheel systems
