This abrasive is particularly suitable for blasting hard surfaces. Chilled cast iron, with its sharp-edged, metallic properties, repeatedly breaks into sharp edges during the blasting process, permanently turning the material into a sharp-edged mixture.
Chilled cast iron is the hardest of the metallic abrasives and is highly abrasive. With a long cycle life, chilled iron is a suitable abrasive for a wide range of applications.
